PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing a mold lining used for effectively manufacturing studded tires. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a mold lining (G) for the manufacture of tires provided with tread blocks having incisions and studs. The manufacturing process includes a step in which the mold lining is produced by positioning lamellas (L1-L6) with substantially the same shape and length on the parts of the mold lining intended to mold the tread blocks and subsequently a step in which the material of the lining and of the lamellas contained in a cylindrical space located at each of the sites intended to accept pins capable of molding the housings for the studs is radially removed and an inserts supporting a pin is positioned in the hole formed in advance.
