PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine allowing a user to freely adjust the pull-out length of a hose at hand even if the user is positioned in a place separated from a washing machine body. SOLUTION: When a user pulls out the hose 3 from a storage part 5 incorporated in the front side lower part of the washing machine body 4, a winding motor 51 is drivenly rotated in one direction and consequently the hose 3 wound around the winding motor 51 is manually pulled out longly. When a pump 2 connected to the tip of the pulled-out hose 3 is sunk in bathtub water, a pump motor of the pump 2 is rotated in one direction to suck the bathtub water and feed it to a washing tub 41, when the user pushes an operation button 22 disposed in the pump 2, at first, the pump motor of the pump is rotated inversely for a prescribed time to discharge water remaining inside the pump 2 and the hose 3, and the winding motor 51 is automatically rotated inversely to wind up the hose 3.
