<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing speed by reducing a load in the transfer or processing of display data. <P>SOLUTION: In this image forming apparatus installed by connecting a plurality of attachments to a main body, a bitmap image B0 which imitates an entire configuration combining the main body and the attachments is stored in a memory as display data, and the display data are transferred to a buffer memory for a first time only. A display area A required for displaying the bitmap image B0 is divided in a plurality of divided regions R1-R6 on a display screen 101a, and the necessity of display in the respective divided regions R1-R6 is notified according to the presence or absence of the actual attachments. Individual images B1-B6 are displayed in the divided regions R1-R6 requiring display based on the display data, however, the images are not displayed in the divided regions R1-R6 which are not required to be displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
