<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting method and a controller for brushless motors and an electric pump wherein when in the initial stage of startup, a pattern changing timing time is excessively short and is equal to or shorter than a predetermined time, delay angle control is carried out; and as a result, pattern capture error is eliminated and it is possible to start a brushless motor in a short time and eliminate abnormal noise at startup. <P>SOLUTION: In the starting method for brushless DC motors adopted by the controller for brushless DC motors, the following processing is carried out: the pattern changing timing time C since startup is measured; and when the pattern changing timing time C is equal to or smaller than a threshold value Cs in forced commutation, delay angle control is carried out to cause a motor to transition to sensorless driving. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
