PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mainly cool a space installed with a clothes dryer using a heat pump for drying the clothes and also to effectively cool a condenser therefor. SOLUTION: This clothes dryer allows an selection between an operation for dying clothes by circulating air in a drying chamber through a ventilation duct disposed with an evaporator and the condenser of the heat pump to dry the clothes, and an operation for passing the air outside the ventilation duct through the evaporator from a suction port provided in the ventilation duct and exhausting it outside the dryer; wherein the condenser 33 is constituted of refrigerant circulation tubes 47, and the circulation tubes 47 have a water spray device 49 having a plurality of spray holes 50 aligned immediately above it to cool the condenser 33 by the water sprayed from the spray holes 50 of the water spray device 49.
