A method and system for administering bridge ports for a network are provided. In one embodiment, a method for administering bridge ports for a network (112) includes retrieving information associated with a plurality of switches (118), the information including at least identifiers of bridging ports (119) of the switches (118) and propagation statuses of the bridging ports (119). The information for the plurality of switches (118) is displayed through an interactive display (123). The interactive display (123) is operable to receive updates through the interactive display (123) to at least one of the propagation statuses of at least one of the bridging ports (119) of at least one of the switches (118). The at least one propagation status is changed based on the updates.
