The display system (10) has a retaining element (100) structured for detachable connection with a cylindrical carrier (20) i.e. street light. A display unit (200) i.e. touchscreen, is held using the retaining element at the cylindrical carrier. The retaining element and the display unit are formed as a single piece. The retaining element and the display unit are detachably connected with one another by using connectors. The display unit includes an autonomous power source e.g. photoelectric cell or battery.
