PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-down type DC-DC converter which can maintain an output voltage at a target value when an input/output voltage difference is small, and can suppress an undershoot generated at the output voltage when an output current is abruptly increased, in the off-time control system DC-DC converter. SOLUTION: The step-down type DC-DC converter having a switch 11, an inductor 13, a rectifier 12 and a smoothing means 14 comprises a control part which at least on/off-operates the switch, generates an error signal by detecting an output from the smoothing means, adjusts an off-time of the switch on the basis of the error signal, and adjusts the on-time of the switch when the error signal exceeds the adjusting range of the off-time.
