The drive system is for the hard top (1) of a convertible car. It has at least one drive unit and an actuator driven by it using a certain volume of a drive medium, a control unit and a volume flow sensor. The system control unit directly reports the position of the hard top from volume flow information provided by the volume flow sensor.
