A cutting tools of a coated multilayer diamond has the different particle size more than trilaminar on the cutting tool is laminated in the base material and the surface roughness of the top layer is more improved. A cutting tools of a coated multilayer diamond comprises as follows; an interfacial layer forming the microcrystalline diamond coating film which makes the cohesive power with the base material promoted by using the plasma in the mixed gas atmosphere including carbon; an intermediate layer forming the nano-crystalline diamond coating film improving the surface roughness on the interfacial layer; and a top layer forming the nano particle carbon for improving the visual defect and surface roughness.
