PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of preventing decline of the suction force by preventing fine dust stored in a fine dust chamber from being stirred up by air currents to adhere to a filter again. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a first dust separating means 36 for separating rough dust from air, a second dust separating means 37 disposed on the downstream of the first dust separating means 36 for separating fine dust from air, and the fine dust chamber 32 disposed below the second dust separating means 37 for storing the fine dust separated by the second dust separating means 37. The vacuum cleaner also has a throttle part 33 disposed above the fine dust chamber 32 with a prescribed gap for preventing the flow of wind into the fine dust chamber 32. With this structure, the quantity of dust stored in the fine dust chamber 36 to be stirred up to adhere to the second dust separating means 34 (the filter) can be reduced, and decline of the sucking capability caused by the clogging of the second dust separating means 34 (the filter) can be prevented.
