PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-voltage circuit breaker which eliminates reignition by the bouncing of a movable contact toward a fixed contact on short-circuit breaking. SOLUTION: The interior of a seat 21 of a support shaft 20 accommodates two springs 8 and a center body 11 of the movable contact 10. An arm 12 of the movable contact 10 is protruding. The two springs 8 secure an appropriate contact pressure between an active surface 13 and the fixed contact 1, when the low-voltage circuit breaker is closed. A first pivot 22 is fixed to the support shaft 20 and is coupled to a hole 14, installed on the central body 11; and a second pivot 24 functionally interacts with a cam-like surface 15 of the movable contact 10, and in the short-circuit state, generates a mechanical moment conforming to the rotation direction of the movable contact 10, during a step of the active surface 13 being separated from the fixed contact 1.
