PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abrasion caused by the contact of a slider block with the back face of a turning scroll when the slider block moves upward, in a scroll compressor. SOLUTION: This scroll compressor has a stop on an eccentric pin. The stop prevents the contact of the slider block with the back face of the turning scroll when the slider block moves upward by selectively being engaged with a notch at the slider block.
