PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing with a bidirectional communication function that has a tire abnormality sensor and that is capable of bidirectional communication between the rotating side and the fixed side, supplying power to the sensor, reducing the number of part items, and increasing the degree of flexibility in design, while eliminating the need to provide a transmission means or the like inside each tire. SOLUTION: A bidirectional communication means 21 is provided for making bidirectional communication between an outer member 1 and an inner member 2 without making contact. A tire abnormality sensor S1 is provided for detecting any abnormality of a tire Ta on a wheel WL mounted to the inner member 2. The inner member 2 is provided with a rotating-side bidirectional communication assisting means 39 for supplying electric power to the tire abnormality sensor S1 via the bidirectional communication means 21 and sending sensor outputs.
