<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of burst to a seal even if a fluid acts on the seal. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft sealing device has the following constitution. A bearing 3 is provided in the end part of a cylinder 1. The seal is arranged opposite to the bearing 3. A piston rod 5 freely slidably penetrates the center of the bearing 3 and the seal. The fluid flowed out from a gap 13 between the piston rod 5 and the bearing 3 is prevented from leaking outside of the seal.
