<p>PURPOSE:To improve the waveform distortion at overload input by providing an overload input detection circuit, a quantization circuit for an input signal and a switch circuit to a coding section and providing an overload flag discrimination circuit and a switch circuit to a decoding section. CONSTITUTION:The coding section 10 extracts an output from the quantization circuit 12 in place of a DPCM signal from the switch circuit 13 when an overload input is detected in the overload input is detected in the overload input detection circuit 11, the said output is sent and an overload flag from the circuit 11 is sent to an overload flag discrimination circuit 25 of the decoding section 20. When the decoding section 20 discriminates that a transmission data by an output of the circuit 25 is at overload input, the input data of the decoding section 20 is extracted as an output in place of an output of DPCM demodulation from the switch circuit 26.</p> |
