PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rotate sample containers housed inside a sample container rack. SOLUTION: The sample container rack 10 is provided with a plurality of container housing parts 12 and a plurality of container rotating parts 14. Each container rotating part 14 is provided with a recess form corresponding to a protrusion form provided for the outer surface of a sample container. By the rotation of each container rotating part 14, in a state where a protrusion form part of the sample container is fitted in a recess form part of each container rotating part 14, the sample container housed in a raised state, in each container housing part 12 is revolved about its cylindrical axis. Each container rotating part 14 is provided with a gear wheel 16. A plurality of gear wheels 16 are arranged in a row, and adjacent gear wheels 16 are engaged with each other. By the rotation of an end gear wheel 16 by a rotation driving part 20, the plurality of gear wheels 16 arranged in a row are interlocked to each other and rotated to rotate each gear wheel 16 and also rotate, corresponding to container rotating part 14.
