PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of suppressing dirt in a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: A casing 4 includes a suction port 42 and a blowout port 49. A cross flow fan 11 is stored in the casing 4, and forms an air flow from the suction port 42 toward the blowout port 49. An indoor heat exchanger 10 is positioned between the suction port 42 of the casing 4 and the cross flow fan 11. A prefilter 8 is positioned between the suction port 42 of the casing 4 and the indoor heat exchanger 10. A first shield plate 9b blocks the air flow flowing in between the prefilter 8 and the indoor heat exchanger 10 without passing through the prefilter 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
