A method to secure a packer assembly in a casing, including engaging a plurality of arcuate segments of a segmented ring 430 with a plurality of slots in a first end of a frangible ring, engaging a plurality of castellations of an expansion ring with the plurality of slots on a second end of the frangible ring, and moving the expansion ring in an axial direction towards the frangible ring and splitting the frangible ring into a plurality of slip segments, thereby radially extending the plurality of slip segments and segmented ring into the casing is also disclosed. |
