The material to be crushed 1 is gravity fed through the centre of a heavy crushing weight ring 2, which is free to move vertically with the horizontal movement restricted by guide rollers 3. The weight ring sits on a circular anvil section 6, which in-turn sits on a vibrating base-plate 5. During operation the vibration drive 4 causes the base-plate 5 and the weight ring 2 to vibrate at different frequencies with a resultant crushing action within the anvil section 6. A conical discharge chute 7 is located below the vibrating base-plate to channel the crushed material onto a transport conveyor 8. |
