METHOD FOR NORMALIZING A PRINTHEAD ASSEMBLY

A method for normalizing a printhead assembly can prevent a stripe defect between the heads, which induces notable color and/or hue variation. A method for normalizing a printhead assembly(42) includes a step of measuring droplet parameters for the droplets generated by each of a plurality of droplet generators. Each droplet generator reacts to droplet generation signal having a charge section, a jet section and a resonance section and generates droplets. A first part of droplets is generated by each droplet generator with a first charge density and a second part of droplets is generated by each droplet generator with a second charge density. A droplet parameter difference is measured for each droplet generator with the first charge density and the second charge density. The resonance section of the droplet generation signal for at least one droplet generator is adjusted so that the droplet parameter difference for the droplet generator coincides with the normalization value of the droplet parameter difference.
