The moving unit includes at least one rotary piece e.g. screw (200) which rotates about an axis (202) extending along the direction of movement and making an angle ranging from zero to 80 degrees relative to a horizontal plane. A part of the rotary piece extends in front of and below the level of the base plate. An independent claim is also included for a trench clearing method.</p>
