<p>An apparatus for modifying a wireless network service coverage and a method thereof are provided to enable an operator to easily modify an antenna directional point on a map to change the coverage. By using the distance to a directional point from an antenna, its coordinates are calculated(S403). The elevation corresponding to the coordinates of the directional point calculated from the map DB is collected(S405). The directional point is indicated by calculating the difference between the collected elevation an previously stored information on elevation of the antenna(S407). The directional point of the antenna is indicated on map, and a radiation pattern is called and illustrated from the radiation pattern DB centering on the indicated directional point(S409). An operator of a wireless network service coverage changing system indicates the directional point of the antenna on the map after changing it by using a mouse(S411). Finally, the latitude/longitude of the directional point, elevation, the tilt angle of an antenna, azimuth are calculated for the changed directional point, and the changed information is stored in an antenna information DB(S413).</p> |
