Effluent aeration plant - with support legs remote from rotor - to prevent ice forming

An effluent purification plant with motor driven aerator, supported at three or more points in a tank, has at least two of these supports constructed so that their ends nearest to the aerated rotor make an angle to the horizontal 45 degrees. Preferred arrangements comprises two legs extending into the water or fixed to the tank wall, the third support being constituted by an access bridge carrying the rotor and motor. The arrangement reduces the risk of splashing of the legs with consequent icing up in winter.
