A data transmitting/receiving device and a method thereof are provided to reduces interference between systems in a cognitive radio communication system to which a multi-hop relay method is applied. In a communication system including the first system, one or more repeater station and the second system using the first frequency band from the first system, if data are received from the second system(505), whether the data is data to be transmitted to a different repeater station or not is determined(507). If the data is to be a different repeater station, data are transmitted to the repeater station by using the secondary frequency band different from the first frequency band(509).
