<p>1285816 Calcining limestone DORR OLIVER Inc 5 May 1970 [5 May 1969] 21640/70 Heading C1A Finely divided limestone is preheated and calcined, the preheating being effected in a fluidized bed reactor 10 by spent gases from the calcining stage 30; fines resulting from the decrepitation of limestone in the preheating stage are reused by recovering them at a temperature above 200‹ C., compacting them to produce briquettes at 70, comminuting the briquettes at 80 to produce granules which are recycled to the preheater. The gases leaving the preheater may be cooled by a water spray 46. Fine dust, not trapped in cyclone 50, may be recovered in baghouse 60.</p> |
