Dynamic wheel balance weight with flowing media attached to the outside of a tire rim

A balancing system for a tire/wheel assembly and a method balancing tire/wheel assembly using the system is disclosed. One or more balance weights (10) are attached to the non-pressurized side of the tube well of the tire/wheel assembly or a rim flange of the tire/wheel assembly. Each weight includes a cartridge (20) with an interior chamber (30) at least partially filled with a flowable balance media (40). The cartridge (30) is longitudinally arcuate, at least when attached to the tire/wheel assembly, about an angle of 180 degrees or less. The one or more weights (10), in combination, extend less than 360 degrees about the rotational axis of the tire/wheel assembly when the weights are attached to the tire/wheel assembly.
