<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe rail jack for avoiding careless drop of a rail. <P>SOLUTION: A jack body 11 is provided with a rail placement up-and-down moving pawl 13 and a pawl down-moving pedal 14. The pedal 14 is rockable between an upward attitude and a downward attitude. With the pedal 14 being held in the upward attitude, the pawl 13 can lift the rail up. With the pedal pushed from the upward attitude down into the downward attitude, the pawl 13 can be moved down with its dead weight. A movable stopper 15 is arranged to be moved forward and backward in the downward direction of the pedal 14. The movable stopper 15 being moved forward restricts the push-down of the pedal 14 in the upward attitude, and the movable stopper 15 being moved backward freely pushes it down in the upward attitude. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
