PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive rooftop greening unit utilizing rain water, requiring a small space and having no labor and time for setting and/or maintenance. SOLUTION: The rooftop greening unit is set as follows: laying a grating 3 inside a rainwater-reserving tank 2 enclosed with a waterproof sheet 1; placing a cultivation tank 4 enclosed with the waterproof sheet 1 on the grating; setting up a watering pump 5 for raising reserved water to the upper cultivation tank 4 to utilize rainwater reserved in the rainwater-reserving tank 2 to supply water; spreading a plastic net-structured raw material inside the cultivation tank 4; laying small-sized pumica stones 7 over the plastic net-structured raw material; and planting plants.
