METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING DATA IN A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and a system for transceiving data in a communication system are provided to use paging message in idle mode of a mobile terminal without changing to awake mode. If a mobile terminal(111) receives the first message requesting data transmission, the current mode of terminal is checked. If a mobile terminal is in idle mode, it is requested to a base station(113) to send a second massage using a paging message. The second message contains the first message. In a method for transmitting data of a base station at the mobile terminal, a message for requesting data reception at the mobile terminal is received using a paging message.
