PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a temporarily-storing HCR (hot charge rolling) process that a slab on the highest stage out of stacked slabs cannot be fully heat-insulated. SOLUTION: When slabs manufactured by a continuous casting machine are conveyed from the continuous casting machine to a slab temporarily-storing place by a slab conveying line, stacked in the slab temporarily-storing place in the designated order determined by a charging order in a heating furnace, and heat-insulated, a slab on the highest stacking stage is selected in the slab conveying line, a heat-insulating cover is covered thereon and conveyed.
