PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder of a sewing machine, which reduces the generation of chatter and noise. SOLUTION: This feeder 40 of a sewing machine includes: a feed table 42 holding a feed teeth 41 for feeding a material to be sewn placed on a throat plate 11; a horizontal feed shaft 46 for applying the driving force for rocking in the feed direction to the feed table; a vertical feed shaft 43 disposed on the upstream side from the horizontal feed shaft in the direction of conveying the material to be sewn, and adapted to apply the driving force for rocking in the vertical direction to the feed table; a feed control rod 75 operated in changing the feed amount and the feed direction; a feed conversion shaft 80 connected to the feed control rod and rotated round the axis with the operation of the feed control rod; a feed control link 55 connected to the conversion shaft, rotated with the feed conversion shaft, and adapted to change the feed amount and the feed direction according to the rotating angle.
