PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent use of an unallowed fuel by discriminating simply a using fuel of a construction machine. SOLUTION: This fuel discrimination device of the construction machine loaded on the construction machine, for discriminating propriety of use of a fuel used for an engine of the construction machine is equipped with a detection means 6 having a density sensor 12 for outputting a signal corresponding to the density of a fuel introduced into a fuel tank 21 or a fuel system in the construction machine 20, and a temperature sensor 13 for detecting a fuel temperature; the first control means 14 for detecting the fuel density from an output signal from the density sensor 12 and discriminating the kind of the fuel to be discriminated; and the second control means 5 having a fuel determination part 5a for determining propriety of use of the fuel to be discriminated based on a signal from the first control means 14. A threshold of the fuel density can be changed based on the temperature of the fuel to be discriminated detected by the temperature sensor 13 when determining the propriety of use of the fuel.
