PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology avoiding problems such as air pollution caused by seal gas discharged to the outside, malfunction of a power generator connected to an output shaft, and performance deterioration of a steam turbine caused by mixing of working vapor into the seal gas, in the gas seal mechanism of the steam turbine rotatively driven by working vapor obtained by heating a solution of a non-azeotropic medium mixture made by mixing water and ammonia. SOLUTION: This gas seal mechanism is equipped with: a water vapor introducing means X to introduce water vapor as the seal gas, in an inside gas seal part 61a disposed on the steam turbine 2 side in a gas seal part 61; and an air introducing means Y to introduce air A as the seal gas in an outside gas seal part 61b disposed on the further external side than the inside gas seal part 61a in the gas seal part 61, and a drain part 62 to exhaust the seal gas is disposed in the gas seal part 61.
