The self-climbing system has a platform (32,40,42) and a main platform (18) for carrying out formwork operation. A railing element (20) is fixed below the main platform and in a position of self-climbing system, and is fixed in another position of the self-climbing system. The main platform has an adapter (22) for fixing the railing element. An independent claim is also included for a method for building a self climbing system in an area of construction engineering.
