PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in the revolving speed of an engine during low speed operation. SOLUTION: This transmission device 20 comprises a transmission mechanism 20a, a centrifugal clutch 25, a control part 9, and a secondary sheave rotation sensor 41. The transmission mechanism 20a has an input shaft 21d, an output shaft 22d, and an actuator 30 for changing a speed ratio between the input shaft 21d and the output shaft 22d. The centrifugal clutch 25 is connected to the output shaft 22d. The control part 9 controls the actuator 30. The secondary sheave rotation sensor 41 detects a rotating speed 54 of the output shaft 22d and outputs it to the control part 9. The control part 9 controls the actuator 30 in accordance with a target speed ratio 56 which is obtained by dividing a target rotating speed 53 of the input shaft 21d by the rotating speed 54 of the output shaft 22d.
