A device for realizing transferring single stream by multiple network processing units comprises: multiple network processing units, a data receiving management unit and a data transmitting management unit; the data receiving management unit allocates the received data to multiple network processing units to be processed; the data transmitting management unit combines all the data processed by multiple network processing units into single-stream data for transmission. Also a method for realizing transferring single stream by multiple network processing units is provided. This invention uses multiple NPs to improve the ability of single-stream transferring and to save the cost on the development and investment of high-performance NP.
