<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and toner for developing electrostatic charge images for solving charge-up in long time continuous output and charge-down in a high temperature and high humidity environment. <P>SOLUTION: A developer comprises the toner including a polyol based resin making 0.990-1.010 of a ratio of an epoxy group and an OH group and a carrier. The relationship of a number of revolution α, a pitch β, and a conveying path length γ of an agitating/conveying means conveying while agitating and charging the developer is 1.0×10<SP>6</SP>≤α×β×γ≤16.0×10<SP>6</SP>, charging performance of toner host particles is 1.5<[Q<SP>B</SP>/M<SB>3600</SB>]/[Q<SP>B</SP>/M<SB>180</SB>]<2.5, and charging performance of the toner including an external additive 0.7<[Q<SP>T</SP>/M<SB>3600</SB>]/[Q<SP>T</SP>/M<SB>180</SB>]<1.3. The external additive includes inorganic particulates having at least two kinds of different resistance values, and grain distribution Y and an addition amount X of the external additive having a small resistance value are 0.1≤X≤2.0 and Y≤2.6×10<SP>-3</SP>+0.0048. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
