A steering apparatus equipped with an impact absorption steering column is provided to remove an initial load applied to the steering column by absorbing an impact load through a pin moving along a slot hole and increasing an amount of the absorbed load. A slot hole penetrated in a lengthwise direction is formed at both sides of an inner tube(310). The width of the slot hole is decreased from a large width part to a small width part. The inner tube is inserted into an outer tube(330) and a first pin hole is formed at both sides of the outer tube. A connection bushing(320) is equipped between the inner tube and the outer tube and has a second pin hole at both sides thereof to correspond to the first pin hole. A penetration unit(370) penetrates through the first pin hole, the second pin hole, and the slot hole.
