An optical pick-up device is provided to reduce the cost of the pick-up device by using a polarization beam splitter and a 1/4 wave plate to guide laser beam to first and second objective lenses. An optical pick-up device includes a laser source(11) emitting laser beam of predetermined wave length, first and second objective lenses(17,19) converging the laser beam, a polarization beam splitter(16) splitting and delivering the laser beam from the laser source to the first and second objective lenses, and a 1/4 wave plate(15) positioned between the laser source and the polarization beam splitter to convert the laser beam into circularly polarized light and guide the circularly polarized light to the beam splitter.
