An ink cartridge is provided to prevent damage to an ink supply member by reducing the power applied to the ink cartridge via an elastic sealing member. An ink cartridge comprises an ink container, an ink supply port(4), a first projection part, a pressure part, a retaining member, and plural electrodes(14). The ink container consists of an upper wall, a lower wall, a first side wall crossing with the lower wall, and a second side wall crossing with the lower wall and facing the first side wall. The ink supply port is formed on the lower wall. The first projection part, formed on the second side wall, has plural side parts for controlling the position of the ink cartridge when the ink cartridge is mounted on a printing device. The pressure part placed at the second side wall has an upper part pressed by a pressure member of the printing device. The retaining member is engaged with a receiving part of the printing device when the ink cartridge is mounted on the printing device. The electrodes are disposed on the first projection part and electrically connected to a memory unit disposed in the ink container.
