<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer in which a desired print condition file can be selected readily from a memory card storing a plurality of print condition files. <P>SOLUTION: The printer provided with an external interface to which a storage medium is detachably attached for storing a print layout setting script and the corresponding image comprises a means for reading out the print layout setting script from the storage medium when it is attached to the external interface, a means for interpreting the print layout setting script, thus read out and registering a specified print layout setting script conforming to hardware specification data stored in the printer, a means for selecting a specified print layout setting script from the print layout setting scripts thus registered and a means for outputting an image corresponding to the specified print layout setting script thus selected to an external display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
