<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of avoiding failure when abnormality such as abnormal temperature rise is caused by suppressing the rise of temperature in an image forming apparatus main body, and preventing user's convenience from being spoiled, and its operation control method. <P>SOLUTION: Outside air is sucked by motor-driven fans 32 to 35 from louvers 38 and 50 which are air suction and exhaust port parts and taken into the image forming apparatus main body. For example, under operating environment where an obstruction E is put proximately to the image forming apparatus main body 1 so as to cover the louver 38 on one side from the outside, an outside air sensor 52 detects the state of the air flow of the outside air, and an air flow state decision means of a controller 30 selects print speed corresponding to an environment identification signal showing the kind of abnormality when the state of the air flow exceeds a value showing regulation based on the detection signal from the outside air sensor 52, thereby continuing the actuation of respective drive parts in the image forming apparatus main body 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
