<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, wherein the remaining amount of paper reflecting a total status of the remaining amount of the paper for a same type is displayed as the status of the remaining amount of the paper for each paper supplying cassette, when the same type of the paper is stored to a plurality of paper supplying cassettes, and paper replenishing operation is made efficient. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a means generating, as data of status of the remaining amount for display for the paper supplying cassette, an approximate average value of the actual remaining amount in all paper supplying cassettes in which the paper type to be stored is the same as the paper type to be stored to its own paper supplying cassette for its own paper supplying cassette with the same paper type that is to be stored to its own paper supplying cassette existing among the paper types to be stored to other paper supplying cassettes than its own. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
