PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver which can simultaneously execute viewing/video-recording of broadcast programs of a plurality of channels and receiving processing of the broadcast programs and enables the user to view or video-record the user's desired program. SOLUTION: The digital broadcasting receiver (1) switches a receiving unit for receiving a broadcast program of a free channel the user views from a first receiving unit (3-1) to a second receiving unit (3-3), preferentially over the first receiving unit (3-1) that should receive a broadcast program of a pay channel. In this case, the digital broadcast receiver (1) seamlessly switches the receiving unit for receiving a broadcast program of a free channel the user views from the first receiving unit (3-1) to the second receiving unit (3-3).
