PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing silica-base hollow particles in which particle diameters are small, and also, the thickness of a shell layer is reduced, and to provide a method for producing the silica-base hollow particle-dispersed body. SOLUTION: The method for producing silica-base hollow particles comprises: a stage where a silica-base coating layer is formed on each polymer particle having a cationic group, so as to obtain composite particles; and a stage where the composite particles are heated, so as to decompose the cationic polymer particles.
