PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement fast biometrics authentication processing. SOLUTION: In a biometrics authentication system 1, a prediction server 10 acquires from an authentication device 90 a registrant and the time of the registrant's authentication at the authentication device 90 (1), predicts the time of the registrant's arrival at a biometrics authentication device 30 from the acquired time of the registrant's authentication at the authentication device 90 (2), and notifies the predicted time of the registrant's arrival to the biometrics authentication device 30 (3), and the biometrics authentication device 30 retains the predicted time of the registrant's arrival notified by the prediction server 10 and determines an order (matching order) of reference biometric images, against which input biometric images will be matched, according to the retained predicted time of the registrant's arrival (4).
