PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for suppressing malfunctions in power on/off, in a power source controller equipped with both of a human detection sensor and a brightness sensor. SOLUTION: The power source controller is constituted, equipped with an optical detector 1 which detects brightness of the surroundings, a human detector 4 which detects existence of a human, discrimination means 2, 3 which discriminate that a detection result of the optical detector is at a first level or lower or at a second comparatively high level or higher, and a power control means 5 which controls a power source of a television receiver, according to the detection result of the human detector and a discrimination result of the discrimination means.
