<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming a toner image having excellent quality on a recording medium by making a transfer part which conveys the recording medium travel at regulation speed regardless of the thickness and material of the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with: a conveying part to convey the recording medium and a drive part to drive the conveying part; the transfer part to convey the recording medium conveyed from the conveying part so as to transfer a toner image on an image forming part to the recoding medium; a speed detection means to detect the conveying speed of the transfer part in the midst of conveying the recording medium between the conveying part and the transfer part; and a speed control part to control the drive part so as to change the conveying speed of the conveying part by comparing the regulation conveying speed set in the transfer part with the detected conveying speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
