<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming process capable of preventing occurrence of image defects while suppressing increase of a first print time. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus calculates stop time which is the time for which the image forming apparatus is continuously stopped, and also detects environment information including at least temperature or humidity (steps S11 and S12). In addition, after returning from the stopped state, the image forming apparatus determines (step S13) based on the stop time and environment information whether to perform an adjustment operation (steps S15 to S22) for removing factors of image deterioration, caused during the stop, from an image carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
